After three years of negotiating with the Stanford administration, students have decided to take direct action with a peaceful sit-in to impress upon the University the urgent need for public action to mitigate climate change: divesting from fossil fuels.

Over 200 students have pledged to participate, but there is work to be done! We need alumni power and support during this critical moment of the campaign.

We invite all alumni to campus to support the students on Thursday, November 19th.

This action does not require civil disobedience, but includes a rally and march to support Stanford taking a stand with the weight of its $20+ billion endowment. If we hope to affect Stanford’s role in climate change, this is the event and this is the time!
